Americans line up to make history

Americans are heading for polling stations in what already is one of the most historic U.S. elections of recent times. If elected Democrat Barack Obama, pictured voting in Chicago, would become the country's first African-American president, while his Republican rival John McCain could become the oldest president elected to a first term.
